Burch Joins Board of Directors for the Virginia Piedmont Heritage Area Association
BOWA Principal Committed to Historic Preservation in Virginia’s Piedmont Region
McLean, Va. – BOWA, an award-winning residential design and construction firm specializing in renovations ranging from owners’ suites and kitchens to whole-house remodels and equestrian facilities, is pleased to announce that Tim Burch, Vice President of the Middleburg, VA office and one of the firm’s principals, has joined the Board of Directors for the Virginia Piedmont Heritage Area Association (VPHA). Tim has served as the Construction Advisor for the group since 2014.
Founded in 1995 as the Mosby Heritage Area Association, in honor of Confederate Cavalry Officer John Singleton Mosby, the goal of the group was to bring awareness to the fascinating and important historic events that have taken place in Virginia’s Piedmont, to foster a citizen appreciation of our extraordinary historic landscape and build increasing support for its preservation for future generations. The motto for the mission became, “Preservation Through Education.” In honor of their 25th Anniversary in 2020, the group was renamed Virginia Piedmont Heritage Area Association, which more accurately captures the broad scope of their mission to highlight the region’s diverse history, from the time of the Native Americans through the twentieth century. The Heritage Area includes Loudoun, Clarke, Fauquier, Warren, and western Prince William counties.
Tim joined BOWA in 2012 as a Vice President focused on guiding our Loudoun and Fauquier County clients through every step of the remodeling experience, and joined BOWA’s Ownership Group in 2018. He has worked in the design/ build construction industry for over 30 years and is well versed in all facets of residential construction. He is a third-generation builder, certified remodeler, industry instructor, and nationally recognized speaker on the remodeling design/build process. Tim earned a BFA in design from James Madison University, as well as post-graduate studies in Project Management from Keller Graduate School of Business Management. Prior to joining BOWA, Tim was the President and Chairman of the Board of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, Metro DC Chapter. One of the highlights of his career was being the Lead Project Manager of Construction for the Emmy Award-winning construction reality television show, Extreme Makeover Home Edition, that aired on ABC Television. Tim also sits on the Board of Building Appeals for Fauquier County, VA. A Northern Virginia native, Tim, his wife, and three children reside in Fauquier County in an 1800’s farmhouse that they remodeled.
