HomeAid Northern Virginia and BOWA put the finishing touches on a $62,000 townhome renovation project for Cornerstones in January, allowing a single mom and her two young children to move out of a shelter and into an updated and beautiful home. BOWA, a three-time Builder Captain, and its 14 trade partners donated 91 percent of their labor and materials.

Before joining BOWA earlier this year, I spent a some time working with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. During my three-year run as project manager, I worked on 22 different projects all across the country. It was definitely EXTREME – just ask my wife and family! As a thank you to the neighbors in the Alexandria community where we have recently worked, BOWA will host a Holiday Home Cleanup Day.
Home Cleanup Day is a great opportunity to donate and recycle gently used household items, toys and clothing, and dispose of any holiday debris or other unwanted clutter. A BOWA employee will help folks unload their items and a Goodwill representative will be on hand to accept donations and provide receipts.

BOWA entered two design build remodeling projects in this year’s Great American Living Awards and received top honors for both! The winners of this competition, sponsored by NVBIA and MNCBIA – the local chapters of the National Building Industry Association, were announced at last night’s awards ceremony.
BOWA’s winning entry in the Residential Remodeling under $500,000 category is a luxury remodeling project located in Washington, DC.
