Client First – BOWA Lays a Solid Foundation for Its Award-Winning Business

Excerpt: In 1988, Josh Baker and Larry Weinberg began a remodeling business. Twenty-three years later, BOWA has received over 100 awards of excellence both locally and nationally, along with recently being named the largest full-service remodeler in the Unites States by Remodeling Magazine. This luxury design, build and remodel construction firm is a home-grown business with offices in McLean and Middleburg, and services clients throughout the D.C.-Metro area. With this level of impressive national recognition, much can be learned from two University of Virginia graduates who, from the beginning, tackled their industry with an unexpected purpose. “Our approach to the business was different,” explains BOWA co-founder Josh Baker. “[It] was that we were in the service not the production industry. We worked hard to promote heroic customer service and a culture of client advocacy. So I think it’s a pretty different approach; and clearly the sticks and bricks are very, very important, but our focus is on the entire customer experience.”
