Spectacular Whole-House Renovation in Great Falls, VA

Homeowner Challenge:

When these Great Falls homeowners were ready for a whole-house renovation, their goal was to make their spaces more functional and suitable for entertainment while implementing contemporary design features. Inside the house, they wanted to level out the main floor and create a more open space by joining the kitchen, living, and dining areas together. Additionally, they wanted to update each bedroom and bathroom to improve the home’s overall function for their daily lives. As for the exterior, the owners were looking to improve their outdoor entertainment space and update the stonework surrounding the house.

The BOWA Solution:

On the first floor, what used to be a sunken living room two steps down, was raised to be flush with the rest of the space. To improve traffic flow, walls were reconfigured and a steel beam was built into the ceiling to create structural support so a load-bearing wall could be removed. The kitchen now benefits from a gorgeous modern style with ample storage, new appliances, and a new pantry/mudroom. The office, powder room, and guest room on the main level all received makeovers as well. Upstairs, the primary bath was transformed into a luxurious retreat, and all bedrooms were updated to be more sophisticated and functional for each family member. Lastly, the exterior stonework was refreshed and there is now a stunning, new infinity pool for the homeowners to enjoy.
